2010 Blog Re-Vamp
So it has been a while since I wrote here. Last time it was on 2006… It has been a long time since we are finishing 2009.
This is my venue, my space, with or without audience. I am using this digital space to explore, play, make mistakes, ask questions, share my thoughts but most importantly have fun.
I am looking at this blog as a was to exercise my writing by creating a daily routine that will reinforce the habits of documenting, thinking and making. Today December 20th of 2010 I promise myself that for a year I will make a daily posting to this blog.
I have the great opportunity to work full time as an interaction designer at R/GA New York. To complement that experience I am looking explore all those other non-pragmatic tendencies that suddenly come to me… by keeping this public journal.
Today is a very special day. Very soothing for this pursuit. Twenty years ago, my life, my country’s destiny’s and my family dynamic changed given to political happenings in Panama. Looking back, so many things have happened… There has been so many lessons learned… Most importantly I am blessed to have a family gathering here in Panama and all my family will be together, especially my father. Twenty years ago we did not know if he would survive those happenings… but he did! He is a great inspiration =)
This blog was started during my years as a student at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunication Program under Despina Papadopoulos class on Wearable Technology and Personal expression. She is a great inspiration and always placed a great emphasys on writting. The other inspiration is my mother, Edda Carina, whom offered me money to read books when growing up. She never paid me… but I read motivated by her!
So here we go I will make the offical posting on a bit after the family gathering. I will explore different ways to generate content and reflect about topics that I am interested in. I do want to set the expectation that this publishing will follow an organic structure. Topics may change and range from fashion, projects I think about and that I am making, projects that inspire me, user experience design, information design, literature and anything else that excites me.
Note: When on vacation I will make sure the postings will be covered. Either before hand or afterwards. Why in English? In case I happen to have a wider audience…
